Scheduling Maintenance
Maintenance windows allow you to proactively communicate planned downtime or degraded performance to your applications.
How to Schedule Maintenance
You can schedule maintenance similarly to declaring incidents:
- From the Global Maintenance Page: Click Schedule Maintenance.
- From the Application Details Page: Click Schedule Maintenance from the Hero Section.
Configuration
- Time Window: Set the planned start and end times for the maintenance.
- Impact: Specify which applications and capabilities will be affected.
- Customer Message: Provide a proactive message that your applications can display before and during the maintenance window.
Lifecycle of a Maintenance Window
- Scheduled: The window is planned for the future. SDKs will return upcoming maintenance details.
- Active: The current time has crossed the start time. The application state will reflect the maintenance.
- Completed: The maintenance has ended successfully.
- Cancelled: The maintenance was aborted.
